Happysad Biography

happysad formed in Skarżysko-Kamienna, Poland (name since 2001, before: HCKF["Hard Core'owe Kółko Filozoficzne"], and Happy Sad Generation) - Members of the band have been playing together since 1995, but they decided to create "happysad” no sooner than just before graduation, in 2001. In July 2004 happysad has debuted with a CD „Wszystko Jedno”, which was published by SP Records.

Originating in Skarżysko-Kamienna in 2001, Happysad is a popular Polish rock band distinguished by friendly melodies and reggae-influenced rhythms. Their debut album, Wszystko Jedno, was issued by S.P. Records in 2004, with the lineup of singer/guitarist Kuba Kawalec, guitarist Lukasz Ceglinski, bassist Artur Telka, and drummer Maciek Sosnowski. After 2005's Podroze z i pod Prad hit the Polish album charts, 2007's Nieprzygoda topped the charts, with Jaroslaw Dubinski taking over on drums. The band soon signed with Mystic Production, and released the live album Na Zywo w STUDIO in 2009. It was followed by two more hit studio albums in 2010's Mow Mi Dobrze and 2012's Cieplo/Zimno. The following year saw another live album, Przystanek Woodstock 2013, and in 2014, Jakby Nie Było Jutra was released, climbing to the top of the Polish charts. Next albums was Cialo Obce (2017), Rekordowo Letnie Lato (2019) and special record for twentyth anniversary Odrzutowce i Kowery (2021). In 2023 was released live album from Happysad Inaczej Tour. In October 2024 album Pierwsza prosta was published by MOKRE BUTY, the bands own record label and finish of 2024 with live album Inaczej2.
