Stygian

Age of Shadows is a symphonic/power metal band based in Rochester, NY. The band boasts heavy riffs and rhythms, topped off by keyboards and operatic vocals, nearly unheard of in the Rochester area. Originally formed by guitarist Jason Snyder under the name Stygian in 2005, the band operated for 2 years before becoming inactive. In 2011, the band was reborn out of a new project formed by several original members, and the group played its first set of live shows as a full lineup. Since then, the band has recorded an EP (Bloodlines) and a debut album, Maiden Voyage. In 2014, Stygian's name was changed to Age of Shadows, to avoid conflict with another band of the same name. Age of Shadows has proudly shared the stage with national acts Metal Church, Kobra and the Lotus, Crobot, Primal Fear, Death Angel, and Corrosion of Conformity (Blind).
