Jackson Culp

Jackson Culp is a 25-year-old, Louisiana-based, vampire rock recording artist and producer who released his freshman EP 'THE LAGOON' in 2021. This simmering, ukulele-birthed EP examines two hate-filled lovers who travel to a beautiful, tropical paradise together. In 2023, Culp released the follow-up EP 'EVERYONE'S FAVORITE VAMPIRE' - a collection of groove-induced, psychedelic rock songs fixated on the fallout of the toxic relationship and the appearance of a figure who, at first, seems inviting, but then transforms into something darker.

Culp began his musical journey as a solo recording project in late-2018 after graduating high school - releasing two singles and a since-lost album in 2019. In that beginning period, Culp’s ethos was absorbed with minimalism and built upon the sound of a singular electric guitar and drum kit. However, after a miraculous and mesmerizing encounter where Jackson was able to truly listen to, discover, and comprehend the power of an amplified, bass guitar, Culp’s entire ethos and life were uprooted. After this change, and in the months leading to and preceding his college graduation in 2022, Jackson assembled a band to actualize his new musical vision in a live capacity. Culp and his band played their first show at the Strauss Youth Academy for the Arts in August of 2022 and have metamorphosed and transformed on several different occasions since.
