Jenny Hval bursts through all genre boundaries. At cutting-edge festivals like Rewire and Le Guess Who? she commanded full houses with her mix of experimental pop, spoken word, electronica and soundscapes. Now, she’s drawing from her latest album, Iris Silver Mist (4AD), featuring music from her interdisciplinary performance I Want to Be a Machine. Though Jenny Hval is primarily known as a singer, she is also a writer.
