I've been following M&MC for some time and when it popped up that they were playing in my humble burg I was blown away!! The entertainment center has a huge arcade on one side and a bowling alley on the other with a bar/restaurant/stage area in the middle. We arrived early and got a booth and had dinner and drinks. Sat through the opening act and M&MC came on at 9:00. They played for close to 2 hours and after they left the stage Micky came back out and did a solo acoustic version of "Once In A Lifetime Girl" off of the Hearts From Above album! The show was outstanding and we invited 2 couples that had not heard of them and they were loving the show! I also got a guitar pick thrown by Micky at the end of his show! Their guitar/pedal steel player is Pablo Trujillo and he is a phenomenal player. The entire band is made up of world-class musicians and singer/songwriters. The sound was great and if you get a chance to see them don't pass it up! They've got a new album dropping on June 16 and I can't wait!

Micky & the Motorcars Biography
20 years can put a hell of a lot of wear and tear on even the hardiest of rock ’n’ roll bands. But don’t be fooled by all those hundreds of thousands of miles on Micky & the Motorcars’ odometer: pop the hood of Hearts From Above, the long-running Austin band’s seventh album, and you’ll find a brand-new engine, fine-tuned and good to run for at least as many more miles still ahead. And behind the wheel? Two brothers and founding members Micky Braun (lead vocals and guitar) and Gary Braun (guitar, mandolin, harmonica, and vocals) invigorated and supercharged by a transfusion of new blood from fresh recruits Pablo Trujillo (lead guitar/pedal steel), Andrew Carrell (bass), and Bobby Paugh (drums). Micky and Gary, who by their own admission, haven’t been this fired up about playing together since they first rode south from the Whitecloud Mountains of Idaho to stake their claim to the Texas and wider Americana music scenes.
