Taz Modi Biography
Born in London to Indian and Czech parents, Taz Modi is a composer and musician best known as a founder member of electronic band Submotion Orchestra. He also plays keyboards and hang drum with Mercury-nominated instrumental act Portico Quartet, and has collaborated with acts such as Matthew Halsall, DJ Shadow, Mr Scruff and many more.
His solo album Reclaimed Goods was featured as one of Guardian writer John Lewis’ top ten albums of 2019, and has seen him tour the UK and Europe with his string trio. His second album 'Involuntary Memories' will be released on May 16th 2025.
