Lennart Salomon Biography
Lennart Salomon is a musical chameleon.
He has made a name for himself in the music industry as being the frontman of the electro pop band SONO who are responsible for the club classic „Keep Control“. The track that conquered the clubs around the world in 2001, which was featured by Pete Tong’s BBC radio show, the Netflix Series „White Lines“ and - 20 years after the original release - brought back to the clubs by Ukrainian DJs „Artbat“.
But there’s so much more: Apart from having released 8 albums with SONO in the last 24 years, Lennart had an independent funk rock band called JEROBEAM, collected awards as a songwriter for other artists (mostly German, so name dropping won’t help in this case) and since twelve years writes and produces the complete score for a German children’s TV series in the vibe of the Muppet Show.
So much for the background.
Since 2020 Lennart has been busy writing and playing songs in a more „classic“ way: Classic meaning being influenced by bands like The Beatles, Tom Petty, ELO and so on. Classic songwriting in a timeless arrangement and sound.
„As a musician you get to travel a lot, and that inspires me deeply. New situations, new people, landscapes, all of that.“
That’s why the new album, coming in November ‚24 is called „Travels“ because it has either been written while being on the road or it is about the things he’s seen and experienced.
The current single „We are alive“ is a very positive, viby track, full of life and good mood. „Sometimes when you look around you see people and their situations and you feel like your own problems are really nothing to worry about. In a sense of ‚could be worse‘. That’s what the song is about.
