Since the release of their debut full length in 2015, Actor Observer from Boston, MA have become a well-respected musical force throughout New England. Their dynamic sound and electric live performance are charged with a visceral sincerity and vulnerability that many audience members find refreshing in the current age of post-hardcore. Songs For The Newly Reclusive, their newest album released November 4th, 2022, finds the quintet digging into an even broader range of emotional and musical depth, confronting topics of gentrification, toxic masculinity, generational trauma and isolation amidst a clamoring world in distress. The resulting sound is their most focused and impactful offering yet, garnering them a spot on the 2023 Boston Calling Music Festival (alongside legacy acts such as Foo Fighters, Paramore and Queens of the Stone Age) and the 2023 Born Dead Music Festival in Albany (supporting hardcore and metalcore heavyweights Hatebreed, Integrity and He Is Legend among many others).
