Creeping Jean Biography

Putting a modern twist on the vintage 60s & 70s sound, Creeping Jean are a Brighton six piece offering up huge Indie-Rock tunes to cut through the haze. Having picked up ongoing support from BBC Radio1, BBC radio 6 Music, Playlisting on Radio X, planet radio & Kerrang among many others. The band are now back with an internationally acclaimed second album “Business Is Dead” available to purchase and stream now.

Based out of frontman Olly Tooze’s vintage clothing shop in Brighton ‘Mammoth’, Creeping Jean’s new album “Business Is Dead” is an ode to the struggle to make ends meet for the shop, while also still having the means and time to be a musician, living life like a gang of charming wastrel throwbacks; breathing life into 60’s flavour rock’n’roll with a seaside spirit and goodtime groove.

Praise for the new album (9/10) Classic Rock Magazine: “Fine and dandy: scorching second album from South Coast groovers… there’s a bespoke feel to the five-piece’s sartorially minded rock, with muscular nods to Franz Ferdinand, Arctic Monkeys and Queens Of The Stone Age stitched intricately amid the tightly wound onslaught of jagged riffing and squalling solos. Don’t be fooled. Brooding but brilliant, Creeping Jean are still very much in business.”
