We’re back at The Bongo Club on Saturday 21st June with a night dedicated to disco in all its forms. If you remember the buzz when Minna, Kirollus, and Bradley Zero played earlier this year, you’ll know the vibe we’re aiming for: great music, good people, and a dancefloor that doesn’t quit. Expect everything from Italo and boogie to oddball edits and classic vocal cuts, all running through Bongo’s Danley soundsystem. Seasoned regular or just disco-curious, you’re welcome front left. See you in the smoke! ⥊ The Last Days of Pompeii ⥊ Heading up the night is Edinburgh producer The Last Days of Pompeii, who’s built a reputation for unearthing forgotten gems and remaking them for modern dancefloors. His releases on The Disco Express and Edinburgh’s Fresh Take Records showcase his knack for crafting edits that breathe new life into classic sounds. Expect boogie burners, disco oddities, and plenty of surprises. ⥊ Hobbes ⥊ Hobbes brings decades of experience and solid selections to the booth. Emerging from Scotland’s 90s house and techno scene, Andy’s evolved from DJ to respected label head, with Hobbes Music now a go-to for everything from disco and house to ambient and balearic. His Leonidas & Hobbes project continues to turn heads for its deep, slinky disco sensibilities. ⥊ DRUMA & Shaneo ⥊ DRUMA B2B Shaneo represent Edinburgh’s new wave—recently hosting Mella Dee at The Bongo Club and running parties at Mash House. Having just supported Anish Kumar, they’re fast making a name for themselves with sharp selections and a knack for keeping the energy up. ⥊ Toni McVey ⥊ Rounding out the lineup is Toni McVey, a familiar face in Edinburgh’s funk and soul scene with regular slots at The Jazz Bar. When not touring as drummer for Joesef, Toni’s behind the decks spinning strictly vinyl, with a collection steeped in northern soul and classic 45s.
