THE BURL BENEFIT Besides being a huge music fan and a supporter of many local bands and clubs, Burl Gilyard is also a longtime Twin Cities writer going back to the Minnesota Daily and the Twin Cities Reader. These days he writes for the Star Tribune’s Business section. But since last fall, a series of medical issues have set him back and kept him off the job.
