Longest Leash challenges a violated system of government, calling out the oppressors with community activism and their intense genre-blend of metal. L.L. takes inspiration from the likes of Meshuggah, The Dillinger Escape Plan, and Knocked Loose, creating a mixture of harmonically interesting and rhythmically challenging instrumentals, with powerful lyrics championing for the rights of minorities, LGBTQ+ individuals, and those affected by tyrannical forces.
