Hedda Mae Biography

Since her debut in 2020, Hedda Mae has caught the attention of both Norwegian and international press and music industry, with her first EP being hailed as "2020's freshest pop newcomer" by Norwegian newspaper Dagens Næringsliv. Her unique blend of nostalgic and contemporary sounds has earned her comparisons to major artists, and her infectious stage presence has made her a standout at major festivals like The Great Escape, Reeperbahn, Øya Festival’s club night and SPOT Festival. And in November 2022, she hit the road with Kakkmaddafakka on their European tour, playing packed venues in cities like Berlin, Hamburg, Copenhagen, Amsterdam, Groningen and Paris.

Over the past year, Hedda has continued to build momentum with a trilogy of EPs, extensive touring, and key festival performances. In 2024, she released her long-awaited debut album, 'Channel Mae' through Warner Music Norway, preceded by singles that have garnered significant radio play and critical acclaim. Norwegian newspaper Bergens Tidende wrote: “Taylor Swift has her ‘Shake it Off,’ Eminem his ‘The Real Slim Shady,’ and Hedda Mae has ‘La di frickin da.’” Her singles, “La di frickin da” and “Blow a kiss,” have been getting tons of love—five-star reviews from Norwegian press and major radio play. “Blow a kiss” was A-listed on Norway’s biggest radio station NRK P1 for 26 consecutive weeks, as well as having been picked up by several German stations.
