About this concert
Paul Goodwin has been playing people his quietly heartbreaking songs for a quarter of a century now, mostly around Cambridge but occasionally across the UK and as far afield as France, Canada, and America. Along the way, he's released a handful of carefully crafted and well-received records - "Scars" (2009), "Trinkets and Offcuts" (2011), and "The Northern Lights in the Neon Tube" (2016) - and built a modest but loyal following drawn to his honest, understated song-writing. In recent years he?s kept a lower profile, playing on friends' records, helping to produce a couple of Annie Dressner's albums, and releasing a few uncharacteristically upbeat singles. With a new album in the works, this will be his first show in over a year and only his third full band outing in the last decade.
