About this concert
Doolittle makes indie rock that sticks—melodic, emotionally cut open, and just rough enough to feel real. David brings the heart, Nordista Freeze brings the chaos. Rae the Band opens the night with blues-soaked soul led by Chloe, whose voice deserves your full attention. Flyers are everywhere. RSVPs are past 100. Union Pool is the room. It’s the first Friday of the summer—and honestly, there’s no better way to spend it.

Doolittle Biography

Doolittle is an alternative rock band from New York, formed by childhood friends David Russell, Nordista Freeze, and Gemma Guttenberg. Their debut EP, Secret Saturday (March 2025), is a raw and heartfelt exploration of growing up, falling in and out of love, with standout tracks like “Breaking Down & Feeling Low,” produced by leading emo producer Billy Manino. With the rest EP produced and mixed by David, it’s just as careful with its performances as it is sonically bold with its raw production. Not a lot of modern studio magic — in fact: there’s zero.

With David and Nordista sharing songwriting duties, Doolittle blends Marshall-stacked guitars with a Nashville storytelling-fare, drawing a thru-line connecting bands like The Beach Boys, Modern Baseball, & Merle Haggard.

In a scene often defined by clout and exclusivity, Doolittle stands apart. Rejecting the elitist culture of Lower East Side clubs, they embrace inclusivity & authenticity. Much like Weezer before them, they’re not here to be cool — they’re here to connect.
