Steen Rasmussen

His band / Quinteto has existed since 2007, released seven albums, and toured extensively in Denmark, France, Spain, Ecuador, Columbia and Brazil. He has achieved prestigious 5-star reviews from various major music-reviewers and his albums have repeatedly been named as among the year's best releases. Two albums recorded in Brazil. Three albums received nominations, - in 2013, Danish Jazz Grammy in the category "Best Special release of the year", and in 2016 and 2019, the danish composers prize CARL PRIZE in the category “Best jazz-album of the year”. The 2011 album “Steen Rasmussen Quarteto em Sao Paulo featuring Marcia Lopes” was released in Japan as a special edition. The band has a long tradition for cooperation with Brazilian artists.
