Eddie Mejia Biography
Mexican musician and composer, Eddie Mejia, currently living in Barcelona, Spain, started playing the guitar at age 11, he currently plays under the influence of jazz, blues, folk, improvised and other styles of music.
Born and raised in San Luis Potosí, Eddie started his carrer working with piano player Samuel Martinez Herrera, then moving to Barcelona to starts his bachelor's studies at Conservatori del Liceu. There he took classes with players such as Bill McHenry, Jordi Bonell, Jaume Llombart, and others.
He has recorded albums with the Edu Cabello Quartet, Toni Vaquer Zero Gravity Family, Mauricio Silva Quartet and finds himself currently working in his own sextet alongside with Bill McHenry, Masa Kamaguchi, Ramon Prats, Edu Cabello and Milena Casado. They have just recorded Eddie's tunes and will release soon.
