Fresh off a massive European tour, DARTZ are FINALLY headed back to Brisbane for a one-off show at PFR Lounge to celebrate their one-year anniversary! Last seen in the city selling out the Bearded Lady in November 2024, "the band from Wellington, New Zealand" will be bringing their unique brand of catchy and hard-hitting post-pub revival to Meanjin on Friday 13 June! DARTZ! Biography
DARTZ! are William K. J. Anderson (bass and vocals), Henry J. Carden (guitar) and Philip J. Maughan (drums and vocals). They formed in Teesside, North East England (UK) at the beginning of 2005 and have since gone on to play literally hundreds of gigs all over Europe - touring with the likes of Get Cape Wear Cape Fly, Hot Club De Paris, I Was A Cub Scout, The Rumble Strips and The Research along the way; as well as sharing stages with everybody from Melt Banana to The Futureheads to Make Believe to Badly Drawn Boy.
Their debut album This Is My Ship was released in the UK on Xtra Mile Recordings on 12th February 2007, and has recently been released in North America via the legendary Deep Elm label.
