The 7 piece infuses the emotive core of blues, reggae, the ethereal essence of psych-rock, and hints of hip-hop. Their mid-January single serves as a prelude to a lush creative landscape awaiting exploration. Embracing the spirit of rebirth, Vanilla Gorilla invites all to join them in this transcendent journey through uncharted sonic territories for a massive set including the new album and fan favourites.

Vanilla Gorilla Biography
Born and raised in Illinois, as he is known now, stage name “Vanilla Gorilla” has been playing (guitar) in music groups for about 12 years throughout the Central Illinois area music scene. Playing guitar thru Ableton 9 thru a vst called “midi guitar” using this vst he is able to tell Ableton that his guitar notes are midi signals enabling him to simultaneously arm other vsts like, Serum, Omnisphere 2, Massive, and Kontakt giving him the ablitlity to play professional synthesizer sounds while still being able to play his guitar. While Ableton is at his disposal, He also uses DJ software, so, he can play homemade dj sets and LIVE mixing while playing guitar over top to bring you as much music as possible. He has brought edm (digital/analog) to the forefront of the Decatur Illinois music scene and strives to continue the process.
