Yas Akdag

Yas Akdag is a British indie-pop artist, songwriter, and producer based in Brooklyn.She grew up playing classical piano and jazz saxophone before she started writing and producing her own music. Following her move from London to New York for college, Akdag dedicated herself to the craft of songwriting, which always comes first in her music. Straddling the sonic worlds of pop, rock, and folk, Akdag’s story-driven songs detail the intricacies of every-day life with honesty and simplicity. Drawing from influences like MUNA,Phoebe Bridgers, and Joni Mitchell, Yas Akdag is currently working on her debut EP, with her first two singles slated for a summer 2024 release.
