Yes. We do ask the bands to turn down slightly but prepare for it to be loud. We strongly recommend that all children wear ear defenders (about £10-£20). I don’t have children, can I still come? Yes, everyone is welcome whether they have kids with them or not. We just ask that you be mindful that there will be young children about and to let them get to the front if they want and to have a good view even if they don’t. What if my child wants a break from the loud music? No problem. Bands will play for around 30 minutes and there will be breaks in between the bands. If you or your child wants a break when a band is playing, you can take them to the front bar or even to the Old London Road Cafe a couple of doors down from the venue. Is there somewhere to get food if I’m hungry? Yes, Old London Road Cafe is a couple of doors down from the venue. It serves fresh food, coffee, baked goods and more. A selection of baked goods from the cafe will be made available for sale in the Fighting Cocks at YAK shows and you can pay by card.
