She identifies as Afro-Indigenous and is known for her genre-blending music that spans hip-hop, punk, soul, and emo. Her work often explores themes of identity, spirituality, and empowerment, reflecting her experiences growing up in East Harlem and the Lower East Side.
Beyond music, Princess Nokia is an outspoken advocate for intersectional feminism and LGBTQ+ rights.
