Charlie Mtn. Biography
Charlie Mtn. is the country/folk project of queer trans songwriter John-Allison Weiss, a longtime DIY trailblazer known for raw lyrics, road-worn melodies, and a voice that cuts through the noise.
After nearly two decades making heartfelt indie rock and pop anthems — and sharing stages with icons like Lou Reed, Laura Jane Grace, and Letters to Cleo — Weiss is following a longtime pull back to their roots: country radio, dusty highways, and wide open skies.
Charlie Mtn. isn’t a pivot. It’s a return. These are story songs for loners and lovers, crafted on acoustic guitars in desert campsites and roadside motels, with one boot in the past and the other kicking forward.
