They have been hand selected and placed on multiple curated Spotify playlists and have also received awards on The Roots Soul/ R&B Charts for their original compositions. Their wide array of material and super tight band dynamics have made them a tremendous addition to venues and festivals around the US and Europe.Since the beginning of his musical ventures, front man and writer, Alex Lucero, has independently released 6 full length albums. Five of which are with the full band (previously named Live Again) and one solo album recorded and produced by his good friend Adam Patterson of The Expendables fame. Whether solo or accompanied with the band, all of Alexs projects showcase his raw musical abilities, song crafting and passion. The music has received a phenomenal local response enabling Alex to maintain a serious presence and following, playing weekly in both the San Francisco Bay Area and all over Santa Cruz County averaging 300 shows a year! Alex and band have gone from supporting major acts (Michael McDonald, Chaka Khan, Pablo Cruise, Monophonics) to receiving headlining slots on main stages The Guild Theatre, The Gallo Theatre, The Felton Music Hall, Redwood Mountain Fair, Latitude 39 Festival, and many more. Their most recent release Long As You Like (Single + upcoming EP) dives deeper into Alex Americana roots with 6 tracks of boot stomping, guitar driven, country soul that is sure to pack the dance floor wherever they perform. Lookout Santa Cruz says, Lucero invests his cover tunes and his originals with a sensuous style that recalls the great soul singers of the 1970s, a touch of Al Green there, a shade of Van Morrison...Either with his full band, or a stripped down acoustic set with his wife and bass player, Justina Lucero, Alexs musical prowess and alluring vocal abilities leave the audience hungry for more. WOLF JETT (solo)When hes not fronting local Santa Cruz band Wolf Jett, Chris Jones stays true to his folk, soul and country blues roots. Born in the foothills of the Smoky Mountains, his voice is smooth as Tennessee whiskey and his guitar pickin cuts from Chet Atkins to Keith Richards in no time.As versatile a musician as you will find, Chris is able to seamlessly intertwine classic and obscure covers with his seemingly timeless originals. He can play to any crowd under any circumstances, and hes proven it time and time again, whether busking the streets of Europe, or touring the sweatiest clubs and hushed house parties across this good ol USofA. ---*All sales final*Avoid scammers! Wolf Jett Biography
The sound of Wolf Jett will make you dance, sing, and possibly even howl! Its roots run deep through the soul and help heal the heaviness of life. Their music is a celebration of perseverance, infusing folk, blues and americana into what can only be described as "Cosmic Mountain Music.” Frontman Chris Jones was born in the south and raised in CA. His songs combine the best of both worlds to create a vibe that is fresh, yet immediately familiar to a broad audience. He is joined by long-time musical collaborator Jon Payne on drums, Duncan Shipton on bass, Will Fourt on dobro/guitar. Often featuring Laura T. Lewis on vocals/percussion and other special guests, to boot.
Their debut album was picked up by Warner Chappell Music. Follow-up album “Time Will Finally Come” due out early 2024, produced by Jonathan Kirchner (Con Brio). They have performed with Bay Area greats California Honeydrops, The Brothers Comatose, AJ Lee & Blue Summit, Midnight North, Marty O’Reilly, T Sisters, Sam Chase, Jason Crosby (Jackson Browne), Stelth Ulvang (the Lumineers), James Deprato (Chuck Prophet), Eric Yates (Hot Buttered Rum), and the Mother Hips. You can hear them online and on local radio stations KPIG and KBCZ in Santa Cruz.
