Reinel Bakole
At just 26, Reinel Bakole is already at the forefront of the soul scene, blending singing, writing, dance, and performance into a captivating, multidisciplinary and alternative universe. 2024 has been a breakthrough year for the artist, whom Moustique compares to ‘Macy Gray, Nina Simone, Solange, and even FKA Twigs’.
HANAH
HANAH is a producer and singer currently based in London, who has spent the best part of a decade developing an utterly distinctive sonic sensibility, merging intimate-sounding loops with her euphonious vocals.
HANAH’s most recent EP ‘Colours of Now & Then’ was recorded at XL Recordings last summer and released on Saffron Records. In the face of the EP’s gravity-defying sound design, which depicts the void of grief with bracing viscerality, HANAH’s voice offers a beacon, a way forward, reminiscent of Eartheater. HANAH will be releasing new music in 2025, her third self-produced EP will follow suit this year.

HANAH Biography
HANAH is a musician currently based in Bristol, who has spent the best part of a decade developing an utterly distinctive sonic sensibility. Merging intimate-sounding loops with her euphonious vocals, HANAH’s debut EP Watch the World in Detail EP (released in March 2021 through Saffron Records), was a narcotic and often surprising listen. Lyrical fragments were repeated with a mantra-like simplicity until they revealed the kaleidoscopic meaning within. Declared “a triumph” by Clash Magazine, the EP had shades of Hiatus Kaiyote and early-James Blake, yet HANAH’s distinctive timbre remains wholly her own.
HANAH’s most recent EP ‘Colours of Now & Then’ was recorded Summer 2022 and released on Saffron Records in October 2022. In the face of the EP’s gravity-defying sound design, which depicts the void of grief with bracing viscerality, HANAH’s voice offers a beacon, a way forward, reminiscent of Eartheater. ‘Colours’ attests to the potential for healing, notably in jazzy lead single ‘Solo’, which has received over half a million plays on Spotify. She celebrated the EP’s release with a well-received headlining show at the famed Windmill pub in Brixton.
HANAH has been played on BBC Radio 6 Music, BBC 1, BBC 1 Xtra, NTS, Worldwide FM, Balamii, SWU, Soho Radio, and has guested on tracks with Louis Culture. She recently supported Louis Culture on his European tour in April 2024.
