The Thumping Tommys

We started The Thumping Tommys back in 2012 while living together in a north London flat. We played in various other groups covering different genres but whenever we would meet for a drink after coming back from gigs we always listened to old-time folk, Irish, Bluegrass, rockabilly and blues songs, so the idea of forming a band to play these styles seemed only too natural. Shortly after officially forming as a band we pulled together a set list of tunes, had a drink in the pub and thus started our first residency which lasted 5 years! Our second gig was to 600 people and we've been gigging ever since. We have played across the UK and Europe including; Germany, France, Belgium, Norway and Poland. We are now happy to say we have recorded our first self titled album at the fantastic Woodworm studios and it is set for release in mid 2019.
