Every October, we descend into darkness during Soulcrusher, where bonecrushing riffs collide with melancholic and dark brooding soundscapes. Healthyliving Biography
Healthyliving is the project of long-time collaborators and friends Scott McLean (Ashenspire, Falloch), Stefan Pötzsch and Amaya López-Carromero (Maud The Moth). Having worked on various musical projects together for years, their artistic and personal connection coalesced organically and fuelled a small transnational collective across Scotland, Spain and Germany.
In 2022 the band was awarded funding from Creative Scotland to produce and record their first full-length; `Songs of Abundance, Psalms of Grief’. The album was recorded at Chamber Studio, Edinburgh, engineered by Graeme Young (DVNE, Idlewild), produced and mixed by Scott McLean and mastered by Brad Boatright (The Armed, Sleep, Stranger Things OST). The album was released on April 7th in collaboration with La Rubia Producciones which coincided with a debut live performance at the prestigious Roadburn 2025 - official playlist Festival on April 22nd.
Healthyliving's music has been featured on Bandcamp Radio, BBC Radio Scotland, Stereogum, The Quietus, Metal Hammer UK, Mondo Sonoro, New Noise, Rockzone, Invisible Oranges, Nasty Magazine, Distorted Sound, Total Rock Radio, The Skinny and Visions Magazine amongst other outlets.
They have performed in ArcTanGent 2024, Rock in Bourlon, Summer Dying Loud and Core. amongst other festivals, and will be returning to ArcTanGent 2025 on Wednesday 13th of August.
