About this concert
Vivid Sydney’s ultimate day-into-night party Sound Escape will take over City Recital Hall on Saturday 7 June, with over six hours of music, from over 20 bands, solo artists and DJs, across four stages.
Part of Vivid Sydney's Music program, Sound Escape will see City Recital Hall transformed into a surrealist dream of light and sound, with the indoor music festival offering electronic and indie sounds in the main stage Hall of Mirrors, cult queer party Heaps Gay taking over the ground floor Grand Voyeur, funk beats in Bar Eden and a good ol’ fashion rave in The Board Room.
Main stage artists are The Jungle Giants (DJ Set), DICE, POOLCLVB, KLP, 2touch, Mell Hall and Eluize. Heaps Gay stage artists are Haiku Hands (DJ Set), Soju Gang, Tseba, Stev Zar, Fried Pork Chop, prettyboi.zeke and host Rocky Stallone. The Board Room artists are LUPO.THEBOY, Street Player, Elixr, Cricket, Huda and a Secret Guest. The Bar Eden artists are La Foxy Fuzz, Tugg Speedman, Earnest J, Mezcal Hot Tub and El Chino.
Keep an eye out for special guests throughout the night, including from performance art icons The Huxleys and Bendy Ben.
And while the party goes on inside, outside Angel Place itself will be bathed in light for the free Sound Walk experience for the night.
Access to Sound Walk, the outdoor light installation at Angel Place is free, made possible by the NSW Government’s Open Streets Program, led by Transport for NSW.

DICE Biography
There are those rare bands that, once you step into their sonic world, captivate you entirely. Western Australia's breakout band DICE is one of those bands. Comprising Ben Hodge, Tom King, Regan Beazley, and Sam Barrett-Lennard, in 2024 DICE invited listeners into their vibrant universe with their debut album Midnight Zoo — a world from which there's no turning back.
Following the critical acclaim of their 2021 debut, quickly followed by sold-out national tours, international radio play, and a coveted spot on triple j's Hottest 100, in 2024 DICE released their highly anticipated debut album Midnight Zoo, which showcased a more introspective and multifaceted sound, shedding the carefree veneer of their earlier work. The album was not just a collection of songs; it's a sonic odyssey reflecting a whirlwind year of creation. Midnight Zoo isn't just an album; it's an invitation to experience the essence of DICE, a band that's just getting started.
2024 was their biggest year yet.'Quick To Judge,' debuted as the #1 added song on college radio in the USA and garnered international radio play across the UK and Europe. The band’s Quick To Judge Regional + Capital City Tour originally announced 19 stops but quickly expanded due to overwhelming demand, playing to sold-out crowds nationwide and culminating in a sold-out show in their hometown of Perth. Followed by their debut Midnight Zoo World Tour, playing sellout shows in New York, Toronto, London, Bristol, Denver and more.
There’s no signs of slowing down, as DICE kick off 2025 with new music, international tours and more. Known for their high-energy, electrifying live sets, DICE continues to carve out their place in the music scene, inviting fans new and old to join them on their exhilarating journey.
