About this concert
The project features the sonics of the UK scene, while at the same time incorporating Moyses' roots in jazz as well as sounds from his birthplace of Brazil. Moyses and his producer Ankit Suri wanted to make sure that the tracks still felt like songs as opposed to free-flowing jazz improvisations. Over the past few years, Moyses Dos Santos has dedicated himself to crafting his debut project. Drawing inspiration from his jazz, funk, and Brazilian musical heritage, he seamlessly integrates elements from the vibrant UK music scene. Collaborating closely with producer Ankit Suri, Moyses has assembled a diverse array of skilled artists and instrumentalists for his forthcoming record. Anticipation builds as he prepares to unveil fresh tracks during his performance at Ronnie Scott's. The forthcoming album features Emeli Sandé, Jords, Jay Prince and Theo Croker due to be released this year. Moyses Dos Santos, originally from Sao Paulo in Brazil, is an acclaimed bass player, songwriter and musical director. Since his move to the UK in the early-2000s, Moyses has gone on to collaborate and perform with the likes of Nile Rodgers, Emeli Sandé, Janelle Monae, Gavin James, The Vamps, Gregory Porter, Omar, Becky Hill, Celeste, Kamaal Williams and the legendary Brazillian ensemble, Azymuth. Moyses recorded with Emeli Sandé releasing ‘Brighter Days,’ which went on to be a massive hit, being played across radio and television.

Josh Short Biography

I am 22.. I have been playing guitar since i was 10 years old. Drums since 12. As far as singing goes, i think i was doing that in the womb.. I have experienced a lot in the music scene. and i plan on experiencing a lot more. You may have heard of me from my band (currenly on an tbd hiatus) Cadences.. You may have came to a show at my old house, The Tibbs House. or.. Maybe the panic room (which was my 2nd venue i opened/ran) .. Maybe have heard about me while getting tattooed at my shop, Evolution Tattoos on the westside of Indianapolis? Or maybe, Just maybe.. This contraption called Facebook has brought you here.. Regardless of what the case may be. thank you. Cuz without all of you, I am nothing. And i would be nowhere near where I am at now without the support of all my friends, and even the lack of support from all the negative nancies out there who have tried and tried to bring me down. Thank you all so much.. Because my drive and motivation is solely composed of a secret concoction involving support, appreciation, love, hate, and revenge. Everything happens for a reason. I will not be another statistic. I am 22. done some stuff. doin some more.
