Dura Mater Biography
Dura Mater are an eclectic musical collective blending genres spanning art rock to chamber folk. Lilting violins, delicate keys and angular guitars spar with the taut rhythm section to create the impression their music is more of a journey than a moment.
They quickly established themselves in the Nottingham scene, opening for The Murder Capital in late 2022 and going on to play Dot to Dot Festival as well as support slots for Geese+Folly Group at The Bodega and Sundara Karma’s sold-out Rock City performance. Since then they’ve performed around the country including a headline show at London’s historic Shacklewell Arms and supports slots at some of the contemporary underground rock scenes most revered venues including The Windmill and The George Tavern. They’ve developed into a lean and mesmerising live act.
The band released their debut single 'Umbrella Tree' on the 1st of March, followed by ‘Red Holiday’ on 11th April preceding their EP Arable Ground on 25th May.
