Fresh from launching their first single “black holes”, platypus are ready to keep shredding and play for the first time at El Grotto!  In addition to their heavier tunes, platypus are keen to share a softer side, with some acoustic arrangements and ballads to debut. Sharing the stage are exciting punk rockers “The Points” and the incredibly groovy “lovemenot”. A great night to experience the wide range of rock music about in Perth! Friday 23rd March at El Grotto. Doors 8:00pm. Online tickets $10. Entry $15.

Platypus Biography

Platypus was a progressive rock supergroup that consisted of members from Dream Theater (John Myung, Derek Sherinian), King's X (Ty Tabor) and Dixie Dregs (Rod Morgenstein). The group was formed in 1997 and disbanded in 2000. There are two follow-up Projects: The Jelly Jam, effecively Platypus minus Sherinian, and Jughead, featuring Derek Sherinian, Ty Tabor and Matt & Gregg Bisonnette.
