To celebrate the 10th anniversary of their debut album ‘Home’, indie-folk siblings Cattle & Cane are releasing the much loved album on vinyl for the first time, as well as performing some special ‘Home’ stripped back acoustic live shows across the country. Joe and Helen have appeared at acclaimed international tastemaker events such as Canadian Music Week and Reeperbahn Festival, as well as at some of the UK’s finest boutique and inner-city festivals including: Cambridge Folk Festival, Black Deer, Tramlines, Live At Leeds, Liverpool Sound City, Deer Shed and Long Division, not to mention the BBC Introducing stage at BBC Radio 2 Live in Hyde Park and T in the Park. Thanks to playlists such as New Music Friday UK, Folk Pop, Your Coffee Break, Fresh Folk, Very Nearly Nashville and Feelgood Pop, Cattle & Cane have accumulated over 40 million Spotify streams. Away from the band, Joe is an award-winning songwriter with cuts for the likes of Ward Thomas, Lucy Spraggan and Robbie Williams, as well as recent sessions alongside such luminaries as 10CC's Graham Gouldman, Beth Nielsen-Chapman and John Smith In their native Teesside, the band are perhaps best known for their folk anthem ‘Infant Hercules’ – with the lyrics adorning Middlesbrough FC’s home shirt and regularly being played at The Riverside Stadium.

Cattle & Cane Biography

Sibling duo Helen and Joe Hammill have been earning a growing reputation for their magical live shows after sharing stages with the likes of Tom Odell, Brian Wilson, Stereophonics, The Head and the Heart, Lewis Capaldi, Jake Isaac and Nerina Pallot.

Sold-out signs are commonplace at their own headline gigs, including huge statement dates in their native North East at Sage Gateshead and Middlesbrough Town Hall, where a crowd of over 1,200 saw them perform alongside the Northern Orchestra in June 2018.

Helen and Joe have also appeared at acclaimed international tastemaker events Canadian Music Week and Reeperbahn Festival, as well as at some of the UK’s finest boutique and inner-city showcases like Tramlines, Live At Leeds, Liverpool Sound City, Black Deer and Deer Shed.

With blogs such as Clash, Impose, Louder Than War, Wolf In A Suit and Gigsoup singing their praises, not to mention Music Week, the Independent, Metro and Record of the Day, Cattle & Cane are on the tip of respected tastemakers tongues.

They’ve received airplay from such luminaries as Dermot O’Leary on BBC Radio 2, Elton John on Beats 1, Tom Robinson on BBC Radio 6 Music, Frank Skinner on Absolute Radio, Gary Crowley on BBC London and John Kennedy on Radio X, as well as the BBC Introducing and Amazing Radio teams.

Over on TV, their music has featured on shows including Sunday Brunch, Made In Chelsea, The Only Way Is Essex, Avenida Brasil and MTV’s Catfish, as well as on BT TV Music and Vintage TV.
