El Gato Negro Biography

🇫🇷

🇬🇧
El Gato Negro, a globe-trotting artist since the age of 18, blurs all borders—geographic and musical—drawing inspiration from his global adventures. After honoring Latin music with Cumbia Libre and raising his voice for justice with Ouvre la Porte, he now delves into a refined fusion of traditional and electronic sounds. His upcoming album Tigre Qui Pleure, produced by GUTS, reveals a more introspective side. Surrounded by musicians from West Africa, Latin America, and Europe, Axel (his real name) crafts a poetic, multilingual, and collective project. On stage, his performances resemble ecstatic journeys more than simple concerts. For his new tour, he brings together a diverse ensemble, blending rhythm, emotion, and cultural dialogue.
