Essie Jain

Essie Jain is a singer-songwriter born and raised in London, United Kingdom, who is now based out of New York City. Her first full-length record called We Made This Ourselves was released throughout the United States on Ba Da Bing! in February 2007. lt was released worldwide on The Leaf Label in March. The new ten-track album entitled The Inbetween was released in May 2008. It was recorded with a larger group of musicians and Jain experimented with new ways of orchestrating songs. The Inbetween features an array of instruments like French horn, clarinet, Rhodes piano, cello and trumpet. It´s gentle, warm, open and intimate music.
