At the age of only 20, Oslo-born musician and songwriter Johanna Skippervold – who makes music as JOA – already demonstrates a rich command of pop songwriting, as showcased on her debut EP Golden Years, due for release in March 2025. For fans of Phoebe Bridgers’ quiet emotional strength, and Julia Michaels’ mastery of the pop form, JOA describes her music as ‘organic pop.’
