Rhumba Club Biography

Rhumba Club is the alt-pop project of London-based artist Tom Falle, blending analogue synths, disco grooves, and reflections on queer culture. Inspired by the likes of Talking Heads, Blood Orange, and Perfume Genius, Rhumba Club creates music that’s both deeply personal and made for the dancefloor—where social norms and personal demons are left at the door, and beautiful weirdos take centre stage.

Since releasing his debut album Welcome to the Rhumba Club in 2021, Tom has garnered support from BBC Introducing, GQ, Attitude, The Line of Best Fit, The Fader, 1883 Magazine, and Clash, while also composing/performing music for fashion houses Hermès and Fendi. His 2023 follow-up, Love Apokalypto—spawned alt-summer classic Beach Lizard, and 6Music favourite Perfect Queen.

Rhumba Club has since taken his distinct brand of queer synthpop on the road, touring Europe and sharing stages with Molchat Doma, IDLES, Will Butler + Sister Squares, and Miel De Montagne. His live show is a high-energy mix of queer disco and Future Islands-esque controlled mania, bringing together an ever-growing community of fans—‘The Clubbers’—ready to dance, dream, and defy expectation.

Now, with a new album on the way, Rhumba Club kicks off a new era with Odyssey (March 28 via Alter-K). Co-produced by Mikko Gordon, Odyssey is a queer anthem about reinvention, capturing uncertainty and euphoria of starting over.
