Come celebrate May the Fourth and Cinco de Mayo with us at Watts Brewing Company! On Sunday, we’re combining the two with our Star Wars Cantina party. We’ll have live Star Wars music, tacos from La Riviera Maya, and we’re releasing our new Melipona Mexican Lager! Melipona is a refreshing Mexican lager named after Melipona beecheii, a stingless honeybee from southern Mexico.  The bees were raised for centuries by the Maya who called them “xunan kab” or “royal lady.”  Our royal lady pours a bright straw gold with a bounty of corn on the palate and a delicate crown of lemon blossoms. The beer will go on tap when we open on Sunday 5/4, and La Riviera Maya food truck will be onsite from 3 to 6 pm to serve tacos to pair with your lager. Then our May the Fourth Be With You celebration starts at 3 pm when the Poker Club brass band takes the stage. They’ll be playing a Star Wars focused set, including the famous Cantina Band song from A New Hope. Whether you celebrate May the Fourth, Cinco de Mayo, or even Cinco de Cuatro, it’s going to be a fun afternoon at the brewery you won’t want to miss. See you there!
