Splitting Edges Biography

“Our sound is defined by our experiences—the good, the bad, and the ugly. Intimate lyrics, raw energy, and an uncompromising sound.”
Splitting Edges are reigniting the band scene. In 2019, Lydon Peacock (singer/songwriter) and Bradley Osbourne (drums) founded Splitting Edges. Two music lovers devoted to restoring the glory of the London band scene. A spark was ignited, and the buzz surged across the capital’s gig circuit. Devoted to performance, their electric sets positioned them at the centre of a post-pandemic live renaissance, with highlights including a UK tour, a support slot alongside indie icons Toploader at the O2 Academy Islington, and their own headline show at the legendary venue.

Tastefully fusing their eclectic influences, Splitting Edges’ sound is a concoction of noodling jazz rhythms, gritty rock vocals, catchy pop melodies, and captivating hip-hop flows. Worshipping at the altar of musicality, Lydon and Bradley gather a congregation of rappers, saxophonists, and multi-instrumentalists to bring their distinctive, multi-layered sound to life both live and in the studio.

“Maybe,” Splitting Edges’ latest offering, is a bossa-nova-tinged late-summer dream. Attracting acclaim from BBC Introducing platforms, the single was crowned ‘On Repeat’ on BBC Radio Three Counties and Northampton.
