Temple Solaire Biography
Founded in 2015 as The Flamerians, the Temple Solaire have been steadily making their way through the Psychedelic scene. The seven Zurich-based youngsters were soon allowed a glimpse of underground popularity: As Saint Tangerine Convention, they were booked for various gigs in Switzerland, mounting stages of renowned locations such as Mascotte, Zukunft or Gonzo, and even journeying abroad to play the Surf &Turf festival in the Netherlands, in 2016. Soon after the release of their debut EP "High" in 2017, the band’s inexorable musical aspirations led to changes in the original lineup, and the decision of reinventing their sound once and for all was cast. Thus, in 2018 the Temple Solaire arose, greater and more terrible than ever before.
The sound of Temple Solaire is a strong-acting, hallucinogenic concoction of fuzz-laden psychedelia, shoegaze and drone. Three wailing, humming, screaming and growling guitars set the centerpiece of their compositions, which are complemented by relentlessly stomping drum beats, booming bass riffs and an eerie organ. Their dynamic high-volume show will lurch the audience forward into a time machine that crashes, at light speed, through many a spatial and sonar dimension. Singer Giovanni’s tragic lethargy calls out to the sun from between the dark depths of the temple like a dazed siren drowned in a sea of reverberating noise, remembering long gone times of unburdened love and revolution.
