Hello and welcome to the official fan page for Blaise Guld.
I have been making music since the age of fifteen, self-taught and self-learned with much help along the way. Moving to San Diego about 7 years ago has brought me closer to a great community of musicians reaching toward similar goals and aspirations. With a background in theater my music tends to be very visual, telling a story to create the scope of emotion.
Catch my show at a variety of venues in San Diego from Whiskey Girl, The Prado at Balboa Park, Southpaw Social Club, Ginger's (Barley Mash), Prospect Bar & Grill... Past venues have included San Diego Fair, Sea World, Jimmy Loves, Revolver at Voyeur Nightclub, Ostera, Indulge at Embassy Suites, etc... I also play weddings, and many private gigs including birthday parties, corporate holiday parties, political fundraisers, charities, the list goes on!
I am proud to announce that I just released my first LP as a solo artist. The album's official release was on April 15th, 2014. 'Past Forward' features 9 original songs (some old, some new) in the style of soul/rock./pop. The songs are sort of based on the arc of my love-life from past to present with turbulence, sincerity, a little bit of sap and a whole lot of love. Produced, engineered, mixed and recorded by Brian Rumsey (who is also doing some instrumentation on all of the tracks). Executive Produced by Michael Growe (whose lyrics are featured on two of the 9 tracks). Special instrumentation by several local (San Diego) musicians and also featuring lyrics by east-coast writer/performer Scott Lutz on one of the tracks.
