Thee Twangjackets Biography
Thee Twangjackets are a two-piece band from Mannheim, Germany. We play a raw and trashy mix of Psychobilly and Garagepunk with a fair amount of twang, of course. TTJ, that’s Jürgen on guitar, vocals and theremin, and Dan on drums and part time shouting.
Our musical influences are various, e.g. As long as it’s loud with an attitude and it kicks ass, Thee Twangjackets love it.
In June 2020 we contributed our track “Two headed Shark Attack” to the Sick Taste Records Label Sampler. Just a year later Sick Taste Records released our first 7“Vinyl Split EP together with The Earls of Satan from England. We also dropped a track on „Psychobilly kicks back, Vol.3“. In February 2022 Thee Twangjackets released a limited batch of 7“ Vinyl Singles with the Japanese Label „Dirty Trash Fuck’n Show!!! Records“.
In various live shows we shared stages with King Moroi, The Brains, New York Wannabes, Demented are Go, The Rusty Robots, Thee Flanders, The Griswalds, Kings of Hong Kong, Scum Rats, Raucous Red Roosters, Highliners, Also Batmobile, Frenzy, Psyclocks and many more when we played "Psychomania Rumble" 16 in Potsdam. Next Stop is "Psychobilly Kicks Back" in London in February 2025.
Our Album "Whacky Tales For The Not So Blessed" was released in 2024 and is available on CD, Vinyl and tape.
