LostTapes Biography
Founded in 2021, the rockband LostTapes from Düsseldorf can already look back on a multitude of performances despite their young age and have introduced themselves to a wide audience. This includes not only the "old guard" rockers from the times of Queen, Rolling Stones, or Michael Jackson but also a young audience the same age as the musicians themselves.
They captivate with handmade music and rousing live shows!
LostTapes write their songs exclusively themselves and impress with honesty and seriousness that are palpable to every viewer. With this concept, they have already been able to perform on various stages, as the following examples show: In the band contests "Battle Of The Bands" (MusicStore and Groove-Bar Cologne), LostTapes, as the youngest participants, managed to win twice against up to 74 other bands and were also awarded for the best guitarist. In the renowned Toys2Masters format, the band - also the youngest participant - achieved third place out of 55 positions and won the categories "Master Of Bass", "Master Of Drums", and "Master Of Performance".
The band's biggest performance to date was at Europe's largest Pride event, the Cologne CSD, on the main stage before Tokio-Hotel. They also impressed at numerous other festivals:
Elephants-Falling-Festival (Wuppertal), PowWowYou (Solingen), Andernach Rockt, Jazz auf’m Plazz (Duisburg), City-Beats (Düsseldorf), Spilles Open Air (Düsseldorf), Rock am Bach (Düsseldorf), Akki-Newcomer-Festival (Düsseldorf).
They have also performed as a support act together with DirtyDeeds and TheTips. They also accompanied the History Competition of the Federal President at the House of History in Bonn.
Their debut single "Shivering Moonlight" was released in March 2023 and reached the milestone of over 20,000 streams within a few months. In the summer of 2024, work began on the debut album in the Chefrock Studios, where Peter Maffay, Meute, Avantasia, Casper, and other well-known artists have been produced.
LostTapes have also appeared multiple times in newspapers such as the Rheinische Post, giving interviews and providing insights into their work.
