Yeo Biography
A mainstay of the music industry, genre-bending Malaysian-Australian musician and producer Yeo has never backed down in the face of adversity.
With an expansive body of work spanning over a decade, the versatile multi-instrumentalist has explored an encyclopedia of genres; from country to electronic and now arriving at the R&B era of his journey.
From records Ganbaru (2016) to Recovery Channel (2019), Yeo has solidified his presence in the R&B and pop genres with his dark melancholic yet dynamic experimentations and wry sense of lyricism.
Unrelentless in expanding his sonic palette, 2023 sees Yeo working towards his forthcoming body of work, TIRED. The album includes his raw and exposed title track, emo-R&B cut OBSESSION and ‘90s-inspired bass-driven U IN? which features the return of his infamous keytar solo; presenting an inimitable masterclass in authentic storytelling.
Never shying away from a challenge, on recent releases, Yeo investigates the bilingual vocal format performing in his mother tongue of Mandarin on collaborations with Melodia Kong (Shanghai) and Chendy (Taipei).
