Across a storied career spanning nearly three decades, Victor Calderone has
consistently proven himself as a sonically curious artist.
The New York DJ and producer came up in Bensonhurst, Brooklyn, where his brother
Cesar introduced him to the art of DJing when Calderone was just 15. Years
later, in 1991, his short-lived Program 2 project secured a record deal with New
York label Sire.
Following a brief hiatus, in 1996, Calderone broke through with his debut solo
single "Give It Up," which lived on top of the Billboard's Dance Music charts
for a week. Throughout the '90s and aughts, Calderone was known for his
intuitive and original club remixes for pop artists like Madonna, Sting,
Beyoncé, Depeche Mode, and Whitney Houston. The fruitful era also saw him kick
off international and statewide residencies that are still going strong over 20
years later. In New York, his homes were influential clubs The Roxy, Pacha, and
Crobar—the last of which where he would ultimately launch his brand Evolve. In
Evolve's heyday, Calderone built a luminous reputation for his sprawling 12-16
hour sets—all-consuming journeys that plainly illustrated his gift for musical
storytelling.
By the early to mid-'10s, Calderone's palette increasingly leaned techno. At
this auspicious moment, he was given the stamp of approval from techno greats
like Carl Cox, Richie Hawtin, and Adam Beyer. His sound flourished across
releases for Sleaze, Drumcode, Intec, as well as his own labels, Waveform and
MATTER+. Even with a fresh set of tools and studio partners at his disposal, the
underlying groove that was so prominent during his tribal days remained a
constant in his work.
In early 2021, a health diagnosis forced Calderone to step away from the studio
once more, look inward, and refocus on his health and family. He has returned
energized, having devoted recent months to reviving his MATTER+ imprint. "I'm
now reconnecting with a whole new audience,"he said. "That's why it's so
important for me to have MATTER—to connect and align with new young artists."
Calderone continues to reunite with past collaborators, while still toying with
progressive sound design. This curiosity makes every new release sparkle, even
after 30 years in the game.

Jandro Biography
Alejandro Dagoberto Suniga, also known as “Jandro”, is a Mexican American recording artist born June 27th, 1997 raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Growing up Jandro was a product of teen parenthood Jandro was raised by his two hardworking parents, his mother Cynthia and father Dagoberto.
In his youth Jandro was always back and forth moving home to home with his parents as well as being kicked out of and/or moving school to school. So making friends within the city became easy for the young Jandro consistently growing his popularity. At 16 years old Jandro got into trouble with the law and school system for being caught with illegal narcotics within school grounds. He was then sent to YDI (Youth Development Inc). Which is considered a last chance program for troubled youth. While being enrolled in YDI he was allowed to use a small home studio that was built inside the program where he made his first few singles/covers and found his love for music. After releasing his first few singles, and building a buzz within the city he was introduced to promoters within the city who then put him on small shows to help him be seen and help him grow his fanbase.
By the time Jandro turned 18 he graduated from Atrisco Heritage Academy High School and moved with family to LA. He got two part time jobs bussing at local LA restaurants to make a living in LA. After 3 months of networking he was introduced to former (Aftermath & Shady Recs.) recording artist Stat Quo, who was impressed with Jandro’s drive and music creativity and signed him to his first management.
Jandro now 20 years old felt after learning the ins and outs of the music business industry it was time to part his ways with the management company. Now on his own, creating records from his home studio and being active on social media platforms he caught the ear of former (Atlantic Recs.) recording artist Snow Tha Product who befriended him and offered him an opportunity to help him grow by having him open for her tours, make music with her, and become a part of a label and Mexican movement she was starting called “Vibe Higher”. He is Currently working on a 12 song album that will be released throughout the year 2020.
