Flugel Biography
Flugel is indie-pop made by Flugel-bois. Following two inspiring trips to West Africa, frontman Tommy Moore was inspired to transport the rhythms he learned into the pop world. Shortly after his move to Chicago, drummer Kyle Therriault met Tommy by happenstance through a comment thread on the internet. Soon after, they were joined by Tibor Tapiansuri on bass, and his ol’ highschool bandmate, Michael Grathwohl, on the Dave Smith Prophet.
Now a full band, Flugel's latest album, "Pull Some Strings," was recorded by Chicago's own Packy Lundholm, guitarist for I Fight Dragons.
All members are comfortable in 12/8.
