The Sound Lounge

A return visit to the Sound Lounge for the great Iain Matthews, but this time with his Plainsong bandmate Andy Roberts, recalling one of THE great early 1970s groups and Americana pioneers. Iain Matthews (Fairport Convention, Matthews Southern Comfort, UK #1 hit 'Woodstock,' US Top 20 hit 'Shake It') and Andy Roberts (The Liverpool Scene, Nina & The Dream Tree, GRIMMS, European touring guitar player for Pink Floyd's 'The Wall') are making a short run of UK dates, supporting their new Plainsong book, 'In search of Plainsong,' published by Route books and the box set 'Following Amelia,' released recently in the UK on Cherry Red Records. The storied duo will pay homage to their long careers by playing a collection of songs from both their catalogues, as well as a variety of songs recorded by their band Plainsong, formed initially in 1972. This will be a rare opportunity for fans of folk music and acoustic music lovers in general.
