Cowboy Mugshot Biography

When most kids were trading Pokémon cards, Cowboy Mugshot was running a successful black market candy business in middle school so he could buy his first drum set. From sixth grade all through his college years his summers were spent on school band activities, and his various garage bands. His father was an artist manager and was constantly surrounded by roadies and the bands his father managed. He caught the attention of Florida State University, where he received a scholarship to be a jazz performance major in his home town of Tallahassee.
He left school shortly after, walking away from a full ride scholarship and focusing on his band Brightside, that rose to the top of the local ranks and graduated to touring nationally, opening for bands like Train, We the Kings, Mayday Parade, Alien Ant Farm, Socialburn and Senses Fail.
In 2019, an opportunity to play drums for Flora Cash (RCA Records) came next and he was now touring in front of large crowds opening for Juda and the Lion, and AJR. After he got a taste of the road, there was no turning back.
Cowboy Mugshot immersed himself in writing songs on his phone with Garageband. He sang all the vocals out of necessity and was soon spending all his time writing and recording. Drawing from jazz, trip hop, EDM, rap and post grunge influences, Cowboy Mugshot emerged into the genre bending chameleon he is today. He ripped his soul open and bled into his recordings naked and unafraid. His spooky lyrics layered over deep textures, about love, loss, isolation, and the new pandemic landscapes, drew new fans.
This story could end here and it would be enough for most men in their early twenties. Pretty good will never be enough for Cowboy Mugshot. He is hell bent on world domination, icon status and a life of music, art, fashion, stadiums, and songs for his generation. Get on board or fuck off, Cowboy Mugshot is gonna Cowboy Mugshot, with or with out you.
