Award winning singer-songwriter Jessica Malone returns with her full band to The Sofia on July 19th! Jessica recently released her 6th album Gold Flowers of the West and is bringing her unique sound to the heart of Sacramento, CA. Malone combines soulful lyrics with organic instrumentation that seem to illuminate the landscape itself. Her powerful voice guides you across terrain at once, folk, soul, blues and Americana, accompanied by soaring violin melodies, drums, bass, lush vocal harmonies, grand piano, and a full horn section. Her band line up includes: Giorgi Khokhobashvili on violin, Ruby Jaye on piano, Beau Askew on drums, Benjamin Kopf on violin, Brandon Au on trombone, Justin Au on trumpet, and Byron Colborn on Saxophone.

Jessica Malone Biography

With northern California roots, singer-songwriter Jessica Malone blends soulful lyrics with an organic sound that seems to illuminate the landscape itself. Her sometimes smooth, sometimes gritty, always captivating vocals accompanied by deeply rooted rich upright bass, heavenly harmony, and soaring violin melodies will guide you across terrain of rootsy folk and Americana. This award-winning songstress has played a multitude of festivals including Napa Earth, Davis Music, and BottleRock. She has performed on stages as prominent as the Harris Center Three Stages and the Mondavi Center, and opened for the likes of John Paul White, Arlo Guthrie, Joe Craven and The Sometimers, and Front Country. Her tone best described as a blend of Nicki Bluhm, Joni Mitchell, and a magic all her own. Malone released her fourth album, “The Alley Avenue Sessions,” on Dutch Records this Summer.
