About this concert
Three intense and distinct stalwarts of the local harsh noise community (also independently renowned for their work with Uboa, Religious Observance, and Spew Balloon, respectively) will be welcoming in winter by bringing their shared love of brickwalled intensity to the front bar of The Tote, a space that has not seen a full noise line-up gig in some time.Teeth Dreams is the musical equivalent of a seven hour black and white movie about the death of God or the collapse of the Soviet Union (or maybe both). Microtonal harsh ambient noise for terminal melancholics.Shallow creates femme power electronics, emphasising minimal and vulnerable intensities to bend rather than break the strength of the fourth wall.Festering Genital Orifice makes fluidic fromage fantasies feverishly fed through feedback and throat.Free entry.Harsh noise.

Shallow Biography
The American band Shallow formed in the mid 90's and were from Lawrence, KS. They created a unique brand of swirling dreampop, characterized by the haunting voice of singer/guitarist Julie Shields. They recorded several EPs as well as three full albums: 3-D Stereo Trouble (1995-Zero Hour Records), High Flyin' Kid Stuff (1997-Zero Hour Records), and Jumping Away From Something Exploding (1999-Devil in the Woods Records).
Since Shallow's demise Julie & Jason Shields have released several albums as The Capsules.
There was also another band who released an album under the moniker of Shallow called '16 Sunsets in 24 Hours' who were a Psych-stoner band from the UK. Hailing from Stoke, England, Shallow (UK) ceased to exist in 2000, however some years later they resurfaced under the guise of 'The Last Drop' to record a 2nd album 'Where were you living a year from now'.
