On May 24th the Northern Kentucky Chapter of Kentuckians For The Commonwealth plans a fundraiser at the Southgate House Revival - featuring hip hop, folk, and the voices of members who are working to build a more just Kentucky. It also will kick off a drive of needed materials for folks in the London and Somerset areas impacted by the recent EF4 tornado there.We are asking people to donate shelf-stable food, baby food, diapers, period products, pet food, durable tarps, and mold-killers to support families directly impacted. They can leave materials in donation bins at the Southgate House Revival between Saturday May 24th and Thursday June 4th.Doors open on May 24th at 3 pm, and the fundraiser will be taking place inside The Lounge until 7 pm. Members will be on hand to talk about other work the chapter is doing - from the local Racial and Economic Justice work team, Bodily Autonomy and LGBTQ+ work team, and the work around Popular Education.
